Adult Ministry at FPC.

Adult Discipleship at FPC is focused on equipping our members to grow in their relationship with the Lord and actively participate in sharing and spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.  We provide Adult education classes, small group Bible Studies, and other ministry opportunities to deeply root our members in the word of God and to soften their hearts to the teaching and prompting of the Holy Spirit.  Our spiritual growth through discipleship is characterized by the following:

  • Faithful obedience to the Lord. (Mark 8:34-38)

  • Fruitfulness (John 15:5-8)

  • Love for others (John 13:34-35)

  • A heart for God’s Kingdom (Acts 1:1-8)

  • Making of disciples (Matthew 28:18-20)

As you explore the ways to get involved as an adult at FPC Beaver, we encourage you to reach out to us if you have any questions or fill out a Connect Card to get more info!

  • SMALL GROUPS

Small group gatherings happen throughout the Beaver Valley during the week. Each group looks a little different - but all study either a specific book of the bible, complete a book study, or a topical study during their time together. To get involved in a small group, SIGN UP HERE or reach out to Martha Schartner, Director of Discipleship.

  • SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES

During the school year from 10:15 to 11:00 AM we hold Sunday School classes for all ages (including adults!) throughout the building. Some classes are more lecture-based, and some are led in a discussion-based, small group style! We have 5 terms offering 3-4 classes/term throughout the year and invite you to pop into a class at any point during the term. Current Adult Sunday School class offerings will be listed at fpcbeaver.com/events.

  • WOMEN'S MINISTRY

There are many different ways to get involved as women at FPC. Throughout the year there are women’s bible studies, events for moms, service opportunities, and women’s retreat. Keep an eye on upcoming events for future opportunities! Contact Martha Schartner, Director of Discipleship, for more information.

  • MEN'S MINISTRY

During the year, there are men's small group bible studies, a men’s weekly bible study held during the Sunday School year, service and mission trips, and various outreach events. Upcoming opportunities to get involved can be found at fpcbeaver.com/events. Further information on Men’s Ministry page can be found at fpcbeaver.com/mensministry.
